4. ...c6 5. e3

By a 2-1 vote, 4. ...c6 gets the nod. I am responding with 5. e3. Here is a question for you to think about while considering the next move: Why did I have to buy a textbook for my Badminton class?

You have until 11:59 pm on the 29th to cast your vote, on the 30th move 6 will arrive.

An even better question might be, "Why is Jeremy taking Badminton in his last semester of college?"

When I was in college, there were two reasons that an instructor required a textbook for his class: 1) He wrote the textbook and was making royalties. One Calculus professor at the University of Illinois "updated" his text by changing the colors and added a little introductory text to change the pagination for a new edition -- too many used books (for which he received no additional royalties) had reached the market. The change in pagination prevented anyone from using the previous edition, even though all the information was the same. I believe this may be the same professor that made his 300-level math students proofread the manuscript of his textbook and check the answers as their only class work for a semester. 2) He didn't write the text, but was receiving kickbacks from a publisher or fellow professor receiving royalties. It makes me wonder: Do you have to supply your own badminton racquet? Here's a sweet one, on sale too!: http://www.badmintonwarehouse.com/Yonex_Nanospeed_9900_Badminton_Racket_p/ryn9900.htm.

p.s. I have only guesses about the next proper move, so I will let others decide.

I was wondering the same thing, Mr. Robinson. After some thought, I determined this is the stimulus in action. I'm sure this will be a big boost to the almost bankrupt badminton book industry. Now maybe we can finally catch up to the Chinese in badminton. This is laying the foundation for economic recovery. Well done, Jeremy!!

As to the move, I am voting for Nbd7 since it can't go to c6 anymore. Be7 or Bb4 would be my next choices.

I've started my own blog!! http://brokenpawn1.blogspot.com/
